Wayne Rooney says Arsenal should have Alexis Sánchez and Mesut Özil

Wayne Rooney has questioned  Alexis Sánchez and Mesut Özil and said  that Arsène Wenger should have sold the duo last summer.
In an interview with TalkSport, the Everton striker added that he does not expect the duo to be at the London club next season.
“With the two of them not signing contracts in the summer, I think that told you everything,” Rooney said. “The way it is, I don’t think they will be at Arsenal [next season].
“I feel they should have taken the money and looked elsewhere because, although they are top players and it is difficult to let those players leave the football club, when the going gets tough – as it is at the minute for Arsenal – you want players who want to be there and you can put your trust in.
“If they are not going to be there at the end of the season, maybe there are a few question marks.”
Sánchez and Özil are both entering their final six months of their contracts at Arsenal and it is reported that various club will start talks with them from January in order to secure transfers by the end of this season.
Manchester City have shown a great deal of interest for the 28-year-old Chilean, whilst Manchester United are trying to bring Özil to Old Trafford.
